How do I safely dispose of an old, expired can of Fix-a-Flat?

Fix-a-Flat is an aerosol, much like whipped cream, hairspray and spray paint. And despite the environmentally-friendly nature of the Fix-a-Flat formula, no matter what product is in an aerosol container, it is considered a hazardous material until it is completely empty.

If your can of Fix-a-Flat is full, please take it (and all other aerosol products) to your local hazardous waste collection site. If your can of Fix-a-Flat is empty, it can be placed in a recycling bin (depending on your local recycling program). Please follow this link for more information on how to recycle aerosol cans.
